The New Min-ETune System from Gibson

Imagine this: stepping onstage, striking your best pose, and hitting the strings with all your rock-god might.

The bad news: instead of hearing that glorious, overdriven open-A chord, all you get are dissonant notes sputtering from your amp! So, rather than standing high in the pantheon of rock-stardom, you get weird looks from your audience that make you want to scurry into a hole. It’s an utter nightmare.

Guitar maker, Gibson Guitar Corporation, aims to banish this image forever with the use of a state-of-the-art tuning technology called Min-ETune, a tiny, battery-operated system that tunes your guitar in seconds. With the push of a button and a single strum, the device will tune all six strings to perfect pitch automatically—it’s that simple.

The Min-ETune doesn’t cause any degradation in sound. It also will not alter a guitar’s appearance in any major way, so what you get is a guitar that looks the same, feels the same, plays the same, and sounds the same. What’s more, you can choose a combination of notes that emulate the preferred tunings of the likes of Jimi Hendrix or Albert Collins.

You can find the Min-Etune on some of Gibson’ latest offerings such as the 2014 Les Paul Standard. Visit a music store near you and test-play any of these latest impressive guitars today.
